i love having a sister..

days like this

What are you supposed to do with all the love you have for somebody if that person is no longer here? What happens to all that leftover love? Do you suppress it? Do you ignore it? Are you supposed to give it to someone else?

I never knew it was possible to think about someone all of the time, for someone to be always doing acrobatic leaps across your thoughts. Everything else was an unwelcome distraction from what I wanted to think about.

After you'd gone - Maggie O' Farrell

i'd want this book. wut if the person you loved died bitaw? i think break ups and divorces are better than a partner dying.

--

and so, i babysat kenji the whole day. suffice to say i lacked sleep. whilst trying to get some sleep, my nephew did the sweetest thing. he kissed me on my lips four times! and i was compelled to try to stay up rest of the day.

i fed him hershey's almond bar, some dunkin donuts, and fake onion rings. he wouldn't eat anything. so i gave him the happier stuff. :) my sister wasn't pleased when she found out.

nappy changes are daily disaster. i spanked him cuz he wouldn't behave while tita raen was struggling to put his diaper on.

i will not have kids unless i married a wealthy guy. period.
haha.

i even told Chris that i am gonna be a TO BE and not a TO DO. :)

--

i had dinner with shiney at inaka. we ordered ebi tempura bento and ripe mango shake and california maki. the waiters already recognized me there. and were pretty nice to me. haha. nazel tells me we have to go there one of these days. so i guess, am going back. inaka has nice service man gyd. and food is good. and they serve instant coffee. haha.

so boracay is all set. :) i'm kinda scared of the thought that i'll be traveling alone. to iloilo. not that it's my first time to travel alone but, iloilo is not familiar waters. then again, i guess i'll do just great. it'll be just an hour's boat ride.

--
parent and grandparent will be here this weekend. i won't be there when they come. am just too giddy for the beach and the island to even become a daughter and a granddaughter. :)

--

and other than the lit quote, i'll end this entry with a song.
cuz today, i just told off someone i liked tons by saying the most idiotic thing. "no, the whole thingy was a rite of passage for me.."

pero shempre, it was an inis-sabay-sabunot-sa-sarili moment.

yawn lang.

God is good. good enuf to make dich more confused of the two jobs she'll choose from. when it rains, it's four gyd eh. haha.

keeping the face to the sunshine,
Raeyna.

on a high

earlier tonight out of boredom, i made italian dressing.

to make: 2 medium size lemons(brato ila kilo these days, buy in kilos 'stead of per piece- go to gaisano, it's cheaper:), a good portion of olive oil- maybe half a cup or less, your fave herbs, this case cuz yofaks ngita parsely sa groceries, i got the italian seasoning from mccormick- don't you love those lil bottles? maka happy. :) and some salt et pepper.
mix. serve with your fave greens. i just stored them in case the baby carrots i bought from grocery shopping yesterday tasted blah.

i also made fresh tomato salsa- i got the photos but, it took time to upload so next tym nalang and recycled the spaghetti meatsauce for dipping nachos, i added more herbs and olive oil and tomato paste- now it's good for doritos!

so on a diet?
kinsa sulti?

--

i missed church yesterday-sayang talaga, i wasn't feeling well all weekend. altho i honestly did a good job mopping the floor and lysol-ing the whole house.

saturday, naz and sar and i scourged the furniture shops around jaena- over pricing sila! i still cannot take my mind off of the couch i wanted for the apartment. argh.
and over oa pod ang surplus shops selling tv, so nazel got me mine because of her undue influence- haha, takag yawet, but thank you sa help enday.
:)

--
kiddie updates:

kenji- kabalo na mag sing og G- emmmm- Eyyyyyyyy! and magsuka when he sees kairi's pekpek! :)

kairi- her mum calls her piglet, tambok, emoterang tambok, and manimaws niya when shobe's irked, ipabathe niya masking tulog, kawawa. she passed the infant's screening and she grew 5 cm more. :)

--
God has been consistently gracious and wonderful. some people in my life honestly do not deserve any chance wutsoever, they can just rot. amen.

--
i got me two new bruises. kaleche. naslide ko and napandol- 1 big bruise sa right knee and carrying boxes got me another one sa right arm. galenga talaga oi.

soul set free

"There were days when she was very happy without knowing why. She was happy to be alive and breathing, when her whole being seemed to be one with the sunlight, the color, the odors, the luxuriant warmth of some perfect Southern day. She liked then to wander alone into strange and unfamiliar places. She discovered many a sunny, sleepy corner, fashioned to dream in. And she found it good to dream and to be alone and unmolested.

There were days when she was unhappy, she did not know why, -- when it did not seem worth while to be glad or sorry, to be alive or dead; when life appeared to her like a grotesque pandemonium and humanity like worms struggling blindly toward inevitable annihilation. She could not work on such a day, nor weave fancies to stir her pulses and warm her blood. "

Kate Chopin

--

i'm behind 2 hours of desk work i suppose, but it's my first day at work. and am kinda officially out of the travel account, not that noone liked me there, i just made an utter display of dislike to Caesar, so my tush is stuck in the dungeon slash quarantine doing audits. ü am happy.

friends are adding me in facebook. it's unupdated, i don't know how to work it, and it's blocked at work. sow-ri. :)

footah meshadow, i threw up what i had for dinner. i hate pmsing. the past couplah days i've been either working too hard on house chores or obsessing about making the apartment look better and livable once my whole family moves in with me- that includes the middle sister and the youngest sister. ü and added to that pms list is my awful crying and wallowing spree whilst am reading real simple magazines or finishing a book.

backtrack:

saturday: slept all day. what else can i do? work week takes its toll on me on saturdays, and bcd party is kinda old.

sunday: church, i love church. i liked the speakers from his life, last sunday, i was almost tempted to join the small group- but, some things keep me from joining, my heart, my commitment, some grown-up mess you cannot straighten. i don't really know when can i sign up and stand for something about my faith..

i loved what angelo's uncle said during a prayer- may all of you find security in a future that seems uncertain, and may you enjoy Jesus, and starting today may you be a blessing to those whom you meet. i kinda needed those. i've been angry and i still wanna poke eyeballs. but..

naa days when you have very little money & you itch to spend sah? gahd, i loathe those days!
i got me aqua soft faux leather slippers from mendrez- they were very cheap!
got kenji a copy of doctor suess' book
got me a copy of the glass castle- a book about a writer in new york, a memoir actually, and i loved how though, it seems blasphemous for her dad to say Jesus H. Christ made me laugh.

saw big stan with nazel et czar. rob schneider is so pinoy, he included his mom on a cameo role!
dinner at the new place in bredco with them too. we shared grilled tangigue with lemon sauce, green mangoes with bago-ong, and tinola na shrimp. ü

monday: laundry day, i also got my walk in closet fixed, and now it has a flourescent bulb in it! whatta bright idea! haha. i kinda kept smsing dich that if i got killed the carpenter did it. haha. leche.
dich told me shobe will live with us too. and that i should be careful with what i'm wishing for. haha. kiddies and the sisters. a blast. a riot, i am sure.
someone got me jollibee. :) but, not cheeseburger. :(
i finished the book i bought too. i cried and laughed in between. i wish i'd make a fine mum one day. or if not, i can skip being a mom, i just want a house with a picket fence. ü

today, i cooked chicken. hot crispy ones. and hotdogs. :) food brings warmth gyud ai. and they make me happy. but, i still want to be an anorexic twig. it's been a week. my tummy still looked like a crystal ball.

i've been learning tons about His blessings lately. walang technical difficulties actually, sometimes i'm just scared being alone at the apartment, or walking on a dim-lighted street going to work, or scared of being bitten by a rabied street dog, and yet, they say, the fear of the Lord brings wisdom. so i know how to carry a stone to throw to a gago kinda dog, i know that i can just turn on the lights when i had a bad dream and is scared, i know that i needed to buy a flash light to carry to work, or a pepper spray maybe, and i know He is there. i kinda finally learned wut it meant to be a sheep to a Shepherd. ü God works.

--
and i wanted these. :)

and i don't want anything argyle these days, bench is doing an overkill. masking cute, leche.

jelly beans

I'll have a vodka," I said.
The man looked at me more closely. "With anything?"
"Just plain," I said. "I always have it plain."
I though I might make a fool of myself by saying I'd have it with ice or gin or anything. I'd seen a vodka ad once, just a glass full of vodka standing in the middle of a snowdrift in a blue light, and the vodka looked clear and pure as water, so I thought having vodka plain must be all right. My dream was someday ordering a drink and finding out it tasted wonderful.

The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath

i had the weirdest dream today. i was brought to the huge boat that capsized last time it stormed and saw yatap people inside, i saw blood smeared on the walls. it seemed soooo true that i was even tasked to take the dead bodies back to their families. it was the strangest most morbid dream i ever came across with. whilst in the showers, i could still feel my heart thumping and would not close my eyes afraid that the walls might have blood as well. i hate dreams like such. and i loathe it that our house is too big for us now. at times all sorts of things scare my wits out of me. the splattering of the rain on our roof, dogs howling, the loud gusts of wind, and these kind of dreams.

boy crush suddenly says hi and is suddenly all nice. i was walking on sunshine, but, some people can be terribley telenovela contrabida. so i oughta stop crushing on people.

so that means aside from putting up with baho unhygienic agents and the fact that diko kabalos cuz i'm always humot when am floorwalking- altho nakabalos ko kay gihagit ko nila cuz most of them smelled like crapola i asked eman to get me shawarma and placed one million onions on it then floorwalked without brushing my teeth. dah! kabalos ko nila.

back to boy craziness, the rich boy crush does not have a gal and is a haciendero's offspring. haha. i shall introduce him to girl friends who doesn't have boyfy. pero the girl friend should like the boy next door look.

then me and my big mouth tah-day, i told one agent that if he were straight i'd go out with him, it turns out he is straight and told me point blank that he isn't gay. i almost wanted the earth to swallow me.

butterfly and i were uber "nice" today. volunteered to get other people mushroom burgers from shell select. i liked convenient stores and groceries. food is a blessing. :)

gelo made ride and bacon for breakfast after shift. :)

i checked old pictures from last year, they remind me of sooooo many things that gelo and i shared. so somehow, even if we did not grow up together, we already have a shared history.

yesterday's afternoons

"Drink wine...this is life eternal; this is all that youth will give you. It is the season for wine, roses and drunken friends. Be happy for this moment; this moment is your life...."
-Omar Khayyam

so true, tis the season to go celebrating when you have no good reason to go drinking- booze just becomes something celebratory when you have friends with you. guys from gelo's account showed up for their sunday basketball game, all cute guys, mind you. haha. :) guys from inkjet queue have this boyish ECE students from the ateneo appeal, hehe. :) we were almost late cuz we had to do groceries first before going anywhere lest we starve during workdays..
i did not exactly enjoyed the game because i did not have any chicas around, so i thought, if this should continue til their account closes, then maybe i should just show up in nikes and go running whilst the guys play ball. :)
gelo FIRMLY agreed.:)

then gelo, joma, marc, pa jake, and iver headed to this lomi place in bcd's chinatown(shopping district), then we all went boozing at chicken house north.
at times i wish gelo and i started together with the account, cuz when the guys were discussing about our training days, he cannot seem to connect, and it's weird how i wanted to have a shared history with him, cuz he gets all jealous and "praningated" each time he seemed to have missed out on stuff that i experienced before him. but, in a way, it's cute when he is jealous. i would purposely put him in a situation where he gets all jealous. like saturday, i missed dinner at pepe's with ninya and friends because of a silly fight. he left and went out with his guy friends whilst i stayed at home, sulking. good thing he brought home mcnuggets and then we were friends in the morning na. but, we missed church, again.

i have a new indulgence cuz i promised myself that i will stay away from ukay ukay cuz each time i have a new dress someone will ask is dut from ukay? haha. gawd, i can afford new dresses too. :) but, since everyone seemed to be wearing dresses and skirts, i will for the mean time indulge in logo shirts. i wish i could still fit in guess girls' shirts but, that's a wishing too lofty. since it was a payday weekend, i got me more of those shirts with the logo screaming across it. and i swore off buying new shoes cuz i have some more pairs that i hardly wear to work cuz we have to walk at least 2 blocks to the strikers.

this entry is haphazardly written but, on saturday morning, i had breakfast or had pepsi with jeremy, dave, and sly, i told em guys my boy crush said hi. i just had to write this cuz it's an event. the boy crush seldom says hi, and i hardly have breakfast with anyone i knew from two years back anymore. so breakfast and boy crushes are huge. :)

yesterday at lunch, we decided to get baby back ribs at bob's then gelo changed his mind and got sisig whilst i got sate babe and their awfully fruity fruit punch(mahalia jackson sad-oa sila), wut i loved about their placemats are the prints, sayang, i did not take pictures. cuz on it was the menu in 1965. and all prices for food would just range from p1 to p10! makahappy ang thought.

i think oa na ang kita ng bob's sa amo duha ni gelo, at work we buy their coffee and sandwiches, on weekend we get lunch from all their branches, even on saturday, he dated me, his mom, and shobe at bob's lacson for pizza and granita. even our anniversary date was at bob's.
sayang lang cuz we don't own the place. hehehe.
today we saw the happening. as useless i did not like it. i just love zooey deschanel altho she couldn't act, she's pretty cuz she's lily white! and she wore cute halter tops/dresses and sneakers. :)

whilst making breakfast i thought to myself that it's not fair being a working gal, cuz if i were to make breakfast, do housekeeping, budgeting, gelo would just work and wait that rice and bacon get cooked, i have more stuff to do and it's not fair. i told him i will have to write down his chores too this way it'll be fair. he can mop, take out garbages, and do the dishes. he okayed. :)
i also told him i decided not to have a baby anytime in the future or not have any children at all cuz i am unwilling to share. i told him if we had kids we'd have to take out peanut butter icecream and nutella and scrap clothes and shoe shopping out of our list cuz we have to make way for milk. i cannot do that, i told him milk isn't my favorite thing in the world. he said, "you're selfish.." i told him, i still don't want children.

dichee called tonight, kentoot wants to say hi i guess. i wish we can just teleport across the country to see our family. :(

i love this quote::
Don't ever cheat on someone. I'm serious. It's not worth it. And I'm not saying this because cheating is morally wrong, because some people have a very specific version of morality that doesn't necessarily classify actions as right or wrong. The reason you should never cheat on someone is because you won't enjoy it. No matter which person you're with, you'll always be thinking of the other one. You will never be in the romantic present tense; your mind will solely exist in the past and the future.

la mexicana!

i am pmsing big time. it's been ongoing, i'm about to go to a looney bin..

just got home from dinner at taqueria el antojo, a mexican fast food. i dressed kinda fancy cuz i thought we might do a fancy resto however, it was a good thing that shana, the network manager of the account thought of fastfood. i am happy with fast food. ;p

met her family. she told me to order shrimp tostada, shrimp with tomato sauce base served on a fried tortilla shell with avocado. i loved it, however, there's something in the ingredients that seemed to poke my nose.

but, it was fun sharing food. and there's nachos bar with all kinds of salsa and pickled radish/ carrots/ all sorts of sauce with onions and coleslaws and jalapeno. and they've the oddest juices. i thunk i got wut they called jamaica and horchata and all these were refillable..

;p

today i learned dut even if you are carrying a tommy hilfiger handbag or a ralph lauren, coach would still get the oooooooooooooooooohs and the ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhs here.

or eddie bauer will also get the wows too.

hehehehehe. just sharing.

;p

i realised that i missed my sisters more now. and that we'll never get to live or share a pad just the 3 of us. i miss the days when we thrived on homecooked pasta or leftover pizza or food that's on the fridge. i miss cebu days when we only had each other in that city.

grabeh. how the years go by. incredulous. and somehow bittersweet.

sighs.

inaway ko tier 2 ng account tahday. serves him right. he is such a jerk. if he comes down to PI, tangina nya. makikilaw talaga sha cuz i remembered his name and i thunk i saw him already. as in, sarap sabihan, you don't have to be a jerk if you cannot help me.

okies. muahers.

haha, 1 dollar runs up to just about 42php, good, good, keep it that low cuz i'd need it to be really lowww today. ü

the past few days' itinerary:

- dinner at yellow cab with gelo. we finished a 14 inch NY special, just the two of us.. hehehe, ats if..

- i have a new team and a new manager, they're all mestizos and i am insik.. and they all had sup experience or training but, i know i have to make good.  this new job is php300,000 worth of training bond, and a hundred dollar out of pocket visa expense, which will be reimbursed, hopefully, right away..

- company's christmas party, we had spongecola, gelo and i didn't anything from the raffle. sayang yung iphone.. :) kumpareng john's wife got it.. :)

------------

and props to the Big Guy out there.. last friday, wasn't only a team meeting, i had applied for US visa online, will be scheduled for interview in mla after the holidays, and hopefully, if visa goes thru, 6 weeks in tacoma, washington for the travel account's training. first hand travel experience. i am giddy, annnddd messed up happy..

cakes, angels, brutes..

my chocolate chip ice cream pie
gelo and his black samba

today would be our fifth month. i wondered why i acted sooo lovey dovey when i woke up this morning and kissed gelo g'morning.. not my usual self, i must say.. well, today explains it. :) i know, i mentioned am not gonna start counting.. but, i changed my mind.. i will keep track..

amongst the happier things this morning and of yesterday:

- the cakes from calea and red ribbon (choclit chip ice cream pie & honey crunch roll)

- red ribbon's palabok, yesterday

- kathra's text.. oh well, i believe i am half a human being when am not my fairy self.. haha.. i miss people..

- sarrr's gummy worms (blue worms are bananas) & the juniper breeze spritz.. haha..

- cheesey hotdogs for breakfast

and more..

- the weekend!

- our account's anniv bash

- next weeks' payday :)

- possible answered prayer.. He hears.. He is faithful..

among the common things that would turn me into a giddy, happy mess, i thought food makes up 60% of it..

it's pointless to lose weight..

and we moved into another work station. hasslefeck. am not complaining though. :) and we will endup moving into another office, i guess, in the next couple of weeks.

Oh, if men were the brutes and women the angels - if it were simple as that.

batchoy.tk

had batchoy after shift yesterday.. with gelo and his team..
there's this authentic batchoy place near a cemetery that serves "special batchoy with utok".. haha.. noodles with brains..
&
then we proceeded to mcdo sm for hot fudge sundae.. :)

maaaaaan, i talk about food way too much cuz there's nothin' to talk about lately..
--
on our last night in cebu: shobe gave an extra charger of her moto..
quoting her: mike, imo nalang ang extra charger ko, extra na tungod sa holdup..
it was a bit hilarious when i heard her say that, but, yes, cebu thieves are no fun talaga..

He had kissed her goodnight that night, and she had tasted like strawberry daiquiris, and he had never wanted to kiss anyone else again.

dimsum monday

it was great because the rain stopped for about a weekend. and monday night had clear sparsely star-lit skies. gelo "demanded" that we eat out because he had transported most of my stuff to our new place on foot (hehe, as if ga-ano kalayo).. i thought it would be great if we had dimsum. took a jeepney ride to L Sea, dinner was, chicken mushroom, spareribs, and deep fried shrimp balls, gelo got me apricot brownies from calea.

one day millionaire, two weeks mantinir. next week magsud-an nalang mig lavender salt. haha.

11/26/2007- gelo and i, leaving for bacolod from cebu. slept whole morning when we got to bacolod.

i wanted to look insik. haha. me, at L Sea Lacson..
