i miss angelo tons.
as of writing, it's almost 12 midnight here in washington, tomorrow will be the first day of this month long class..
the united states is somehow worlds apart from the philippines. there are things like the streets, the cleanliness (of tacoma), its airport terminal that impressed me, however the distance to everything else seemed unimpressive. and this place is soooooo quiet, dreary stillness abounds you, it's almost scarey. bacolod, is a livelier place at night. promise.
i might not be able to update photos and blogs every so often like back home because i'm sharing the notebook with my co-trainee(trainee for the whole duration of our stay here:)and sharing the room as well. sayang. tinipid kami. hehe.

today: i woke up at 2pm, did tons of shopping at tacoma mall, right across the hotel-extended stay, i got me tank tops from old navy, black tights from wet seal, heart quilt outerwear from old navy parin, and beanie cap and mittens from gap.. grabeh ka mahal everything. in two days i spent at least 200 dollars for groceries and my clothes..
and mas maganda malls natin sa pinas. i thunk.
the rest of the month, i will be on shopping restraint.
then i walked home, tas me and the gang wound up at safeway to do more groceries.. the choices of which to buy are confusing and can anyone imagine that for a week's worth of grocery if i were to convert it to pesoses, it'll sum up to 4000? just for one person. doubled na grocery ko nyan sa pinas.
being here is surreal. i have yet to discover the place and know its people before i can say i liked or disliked it.. soooo far, sales assistants, cashiers, hotel front desk persons, security guards had been most helpful.. last night, i talked to a guard from safeway named bruce, today the young cashier at wet seal in tacoma mall exclaimed that she liked my wallet.. i guess, the americans are okay people..
and we just got internet today. whooohooo!
i don't miss my sisters as much becuz we've always been away.. but, i truly miss gelo. it hurts.

from jan 4: sobrang tearful temporary goodbye from gelo. we just had lunch at chicken house, then in the afternoon flew to manila, stayed at linden suites, bought dinner at mini stop, saw eds, naki gamit ng pc from octagon.
jan. 5: gelo called crying. wawa langga ko. ako din. i've to endure almost a day and one half flight.
korea via korean air, left around 12 noon, it took us 4 hours to get there. stayed at the incheon/seoul terminal in incheon for like 3 hours. i enjoyed the flight because they have moisturizers and face water in flight, they served really delectable food- i loved the bibimbap- ground meat/sagbots/rice/pepper,garlic sauce mixed together.. tas i loved wally's fastfood inside the terminal, sobrang galing and friendly customer service. in korea, the currency is inflated, i had my 400php exchanged for 8500 won.. bought sushi and soda for like 6000won. grovers.
before boarding, a ground attendant asked me something that sounds gibberish. yun pala she mistook me for a korean and asked me whether i'm carrying a water bottle. haha.
korea's time is just one hour added to our's..

honolulu, jan 5 still. we flew from korea at night and arrived in hawaii in the morning. we left incheon at around 8pm their local time got to hawaii at 10 am/ sobrang praningers these people. we had been selected for another screening aside from the regular ones, the immigration people checked our bags and us, tas our baggages almost got lost becuz we were informed by a KE attendant in mla that we need not check them in once we change planes. valiw.
HA terminal is old. hawaii air is just cold enuf. we had lunch at burger king. mahalia jackson. whopper jr. almost 7dollars, and di namamansin ang mga pinoy servers. the only pinoy who said hi was the terminal janitor.
4 hours stuck in hawaii. and queued in the wrong check in lane. altho their check in is self service and you can actually get your boarding pass printed on your own; mabagal everything.
left hawaii at around two pm.
got to seattle around 10pm local time.
grabeh. two days travel gyud. and i'm amazed with the seattle airport terminal. as in. parang mall.
we rented a car and drove for like 20 mins. to tacoma. around 2 am after unpacking, grocery shopping at safeway.
