life in a .com

i've been trying to find my bearings with the job that i have right now, today i almost lost it and raised my voice in class because i,myself do not know wut to do with payroll issues. i am not acctg dept anyway. ;p that's why i am in training, payroll is not supposed to be my thing.

even if i am so harrassed at work daily and i have be ready in a snap, i make it a point to take my one hour lunch, diwGawd, di diay makagwapa ang product training. :0

i did not know that i will wind up missing gelo every day until april 4. our schedules do not work for us. we only get to see each other for at least 4-5 hours in a day. i hate it.

i am so pikon in class. i don't want to let my guards down cuz the class that i am in built a culture of their own from their old account. i kinda wanted to break that culture and hone them into the normal/regular TP culture without blatantly telling them that somehow they have been inculcated with a different set of work values that could've worked with their old account but, will no longer work with our's.

yipee! tomorrow's gelo's filed VL. hawswetch. nag VL for my birthday. :)

There is something to be learned from a rainstorm. When meeting with a sudden shower, you try not to get wet and run quickly along the road. But doing such things as passing under the eaves of houses, you still get wet. When you are resolved from the beginning, you will not be perplexed, though you will still get the same soaking. This understanding extends to everything.

  18. never ever be pikon in class. trainees know which buttons to push so be careful. think of it this way: they need you more than you need them so let them know that you have to work together.

cvg has been hiring like crazy and we get people from other call centers and they bring their bad habits over. sigeg binisaya, yagit mananina, etc,... so i tell them, 'i know we're used to doing things a certain way from the call centers you've been in and since we're happy you're here with us, let's do things the convergys way from now on.' aba ang usa, gihagit ko and he murmured loud enough for everyone to hear, 'inana man gyud na at first, english only daw tapos dili diay to.' niulbo akong kaspa, leche syang pangit sya! patay gutom!!! i haughtily answered, 'if that's the way it was in your previous call center, no wonder why you left because your account pulled out.' to everyone i said, 'if you liked it so much from where you came from why are you here? seriously, people, if you want this to work, we have to do it right. and what's so painful about speaking in english? it's not going to kill you and it makes us better at the job we're doing. those who break the english only rule take calls and they suck. the sad thing is, they don't even know it. do you want to be like that?'

  19. i told them from the start that i need help from them and i needed cooperation this way the wave would be successful. they cannot understand or read or spell success siguro that's why it's painful for them to follow me. like duh.
